Lloyd’s career in aviation began flying ski planes in the Canadian Arctic before joining British Airways in 1973.
Moving to London in 1991 Lloyd held various posts within the airline before becoming Director of all BA Flight Operations in 2001. During that time he worked on the takeover of DanAir, the Purchase of CitiFlyer, and the establishment of new businesses in Caledonian Airways, AML, Air Astana and British Mediterranean.
Lloyd served as a Non Executive member on the Boards of Brymon Airways, British Airways Regional, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Citi Express, Comair and Kulula (South Africa).
Leaving British Airways in 2008 Lloyd took up further Non Executive roles with Loganair, Scotland, Oxford Aviation Academy and Gulf Air, Bahrain. Following the sale of Oxford Aviation to CAE Canada in 2011, Lloyd became Chairman of Airline Services Limited in April 2012.
